Yes! By no means do you need to come, but we'd love to have you. Please just make sure that you RSVP so that we can make sure there is enough transportation to fit everyone comfortably.

No but you do need to stay on the island the night of the wedding. The Grand Hotel is beautiful but there are a lot of wonderful places on the island. For a good list please check out mackinacisland.org/stay/

After 6:30 PM, we honor this 139-year tradition by requiring our guests to dress with elevated evening attire in all main areas of the hotel. While the hotel reserves the right to determine the appropriate and approved level of attire we require: Coordinated suits, dresses, skirts, blouses, dress sweaters, sport coat with necktie as examples of appropriate attire. No denim or shorts are permitted. This tradition of dressing for the evening is a cherished part of the Grand Hotel experience, creating an atmosphere of grace and refinement for all to enjoy. Yes. The only activity that they cannot join is the wine tasting which we will provide day care for that time if needed. Please make sure to RSVP for them so we have an accurate count. We will also be looking to provide some child care for after dinner for those who need it.

Yes, the taxi's are horse and carriage. It is a small and very walkable island but you can call a taxi and/or schedule one in advance. See the travel section of the website for the contact information.
